Meet The Team
Nova Entertainment is a husband-wife duo based in St. Paul, Minnesota. We met at school in Iowa City in 2016 and the rest was history. We started doing events together in 2017 and we noticed that a lot of the events around us at the time were just…okay. After our own wedding in 2021 (which was a huge party obviously), we decided to set out on a mission to make weddings and events fun again. We love helping cool people like you throw the party you didn’t even know was possible.

Hey there! I’m Austin—also known as DJ Nova—and music has been part of my life since I could pick up an instrument. From a young age, I played every instrument I could get my hands on, later producing music and ultimately discovering my love for DJing. Since 2017, I’ve DJed events across the U.S. and internationally, blending my passion for music with skills in live mixing and event hosting to create unforgettable atmospheres. I’ve played everything from night clubs and bars to weddings and corporate events.
I’m here to do more than play music—I create an experience. With a combination of remixes, mashups, event hosting, and live turntablism, I curate a vibe that makes your guests feel every moment. It’s not just about a good party; it’s about crafting memories.
Not your typical EVENT DJS
What to Expect From us
Live Club Style Mixing - We read the room and cater music to everyone at your event to keep the dance floor packed all night long. Our style is usually more fast paced quick mixing so you probably won’t hear very many full songs during the night.
Engaging and Intentional Event Hosting - We want all of your guests to know what’s happening at all times during your event.
Custom DJ Furniture - You spent a ton of money getting your event to look perfect. We pride ourselves on clean and aesthetic setups that blend into your event perfectly.
High Level Production - Events are more than just music. We pride ourselves on high level lighting, audio, and video production and love to come up with new ideas and design for each of our clients to fit their event to create an entire experience.
We probably aren’t a great fit if…
Entertainment isn’t a priority for your event. Most guests remember the quality of entertainment at events they attend. We always aim to provide high level services and aim to work with clients who are looking for something beyond basic.
You want to provide a full playlist to be played in order for the night. During the planning process, we get a list of must plays songs, play if possible songs, and do not play songs. We will play the music you love, but we will make sure to keep the energy up on the dance floor all night.
You loooove line dances and want them all to be played at your event. We’re just not really the line dance type of DJs. We will play one here and there if the client requests it, but there is so much good music out there and we strive to make your event unlike anything your guests have been to before. Let’s retire the over-used playlists.
